The TV Armor staff wanted to find a way to help the people of Haiti recover from their devastating earthquake. So, we are donating $5 for each TV Screen Protector purchased. We expect to raise well over $1000 quite quickly.
We are sending the money to Doctors Without Borders, a charity that does emergancy medical work all over the world. They are currently in Haiti right now providing life saving Medical services.
We had such a great time at the APROs trade show that we decided to sign up for another one. This time its a little closer to home, in New York City at the Jacob Javits Center November 7th to the 10th. The 2009 International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant show is looking to be a HUGE event. We look forward to meeting the business leaders in the Hospitality industry and demonstrating how TV Armor can protect their assets from damage.

TV Armor has been growing by leaps and bounds over the past year! We have run out of
space at our old facility and are moving into a brand new 2500 sqft warehouse space, including tons of pallet racks, a great forklift, and a nice size office. I took a few pictures while we were moving in. In the one picture you can see the custom boxes we use to ship your screen protectors in on the pallet racks. In another you can see Tom our V.P. of Operations.
The great folks over at Geeknews Central, Tech Podcasts, and SDR News stopped by the TV Armor booth at the 2009 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. We won their product “Pick of the day” award! It was a great interview, and we had a lot of fun throwing things at TV Armor. They even threw a full water bottle at it and almost knocked the TV over!

We just flew back on a redeye flight from Las Vegas this morning at 6am, worked with our staff to get the days orders out the door, and then went to bed. The three hour time difference plus a non-stop walking and talking trade show made it a tiring but amazing experience. I can’t even begin to count to number of great folks we met, valuable contacts we made, and media coverage we received. Now that we are back, I will begin linking to all the interviews, podcasts, and radio spots we participated in. We are VERY excited about the future of TV Armor. There is a lot of interest in TV Armor by the big retail stores. I can’t discuss details right now but BIG things will be happening in the coming months.
Every once in a great while a TV Armor unit is damaged on its way to a customer by Fedex. They crush the box or are just too rough with it. Well that ends today! We have employed a brand new packaging system designed to cushion the screen protector in custom designed polyfoam insert and strengthen the box even further to prevent crushing. This isnt a cheesy bubble wrap solution… It was designed by a packaging expert we hired. Its quick to pack, strong, and protects the screen protector really well. Is it going to cost us a bit more per a box.. sure, but getting our screen protectors to our customers undamaged is a top concern, even if it is only a few customers a month with this problem.
If you have been reading our blog, you know that we have been planning on attending the worlds largest Consumer Electronics show “CES” as exibitors in the hope of meeting the right buyers and distributors to get TV Armor into a retail store near you. Well CES 2009 is here and the first day was amazing. We met hundreds of great folks that run the gammet of the consumer electronics industry and gained many valuable contacts. There has been a lot of great media attention around TV Armor. We will be linking to various interviews and video segments throughout the week. Stay tuned…
It was good while it lasted:) The free cookie give away for the holidays is coming to an end this weekend.
